Harvest

Our garden didn't produce much this year, due to the combination of summer weather that started late and ended early, and, let's face it, my inattentiveness. In previous summers we've enjoyed more zucchini, tomatoes, and cucumbers than we knew what to do with, as well as onions and green beans. This summer, a paltry sum of tomatoes, most of which didn't ripen until the end of September. But pumpkins - oh, we've been delighted with the pumpkin bounty - three good-sized beauties, two of which were fully orange today and ready to adorn our front porch.
