Another beautiful candidate for constant carry, the Hexar AF is rugged and spare and weatherproof and about the size of a Leica M3. Its 35/2 lens is about as good as Leica's, too, but its shutter is even quieter (read virtually silent) and can focus accurately in total darkness!

While I have no darkroom for more subtle developing, there's at least one good place here that can do one hour C41 processing of 35mm film. They can scan the negatives at the same time, too, but only to a resolution of 2.2 megabytes per frame. That restriction, however, could be solved by using a dedicated film scanner at home.

The challenge then would become finding a film or films that I'd be happy to use ~ and, of course, overcoming the problem of verifying with Blipfoto's moderators just when the pictures were made ~ which, of course, is a problem with this one, too...
