Party Night!!

Josie and Grant have spent a few nights in the tent in the backyard over the summer and over this break but Jack has been wanting to do this too. Too little to sleep outside without Mommy, I had been putting this off for awhile. Today was the much anticipated party in the tent.

We went to Winco in the morning and all the kids picked out their favorite candies and when night fell, we hung out in the tent. The girls decided it would be too crowded if we all slept in the tent--it's supposed to be a 5-6 "man" tent but I think they might have meant 5-6 babies. Soooo, the girls decided to leave the actual sleeping (?) in the tent to me and the boys. After watching the movie Marmaduke and feasting on too much candy--Grant's best friend was the Pepto Bismol bottle that night--we read some stories by flashlight and the boys fell fast asleep. It took me a bit longer as this old body doesn't do so well on the hard ground, but once I fell asleep, I slept ok until the sprinklers in our backyard came on. We didn't get wet, but they were loud and the water hitting the side of the tent wasn't all that condusive to sleep. It was plenty warm though.

We had to get up and moving for Jack's flag football game at 8:30. Jack slept like a log and wants to do it again. . .and again. . .and again. . . .
