Brown bread or white?

Yesterday, Finlay fed the hens with his Grandpa and Mamma, On returning to base, we discovered every little crack/ tread on the soles of his shoes were filled to the top with chicken shit poo!
So Granny spent ages with an old toothbrush ( reuse, recycle and repair) scraping in between the crevices to make them house-worthy. ( white carpets in the bedrooms!)

So this morning, before taking Finlay to feed the hens, Grandpa Bill decided to protect the said shoes by popping empty bread wrappers tied with an elastic band on top of each shoe. Hey Presto! Brown bread or White?

Doesn't he look so cute!

Sadly Yoga Mamma has left and the house is SO quiet. No more giggles, no more chattering, just a space where they use to be.
Felt really sad putting away the toys and all the bits and pieces that tell me a grandchild had visited.
We will see them again soon.
