Each Saturday I visit with the patriarch and matriarch of a refugee family from Bhutan and help them practice their English. You've met the matriarch and a friend of hers in a prior blip. Yesterday, during our weekly meeting, she presented me with a beautiful dark blue salwar kameez with gold detail and invited me to join their family next week for the Hindi celebration of Diwali. I'm so excited about the opportunity to learn more about their family and traditions, and admittedly, about the possibilities for photography.
