Fall up north

We spent the weekend in northern New England. I was disappointed with the fall colors and had expected pervasive bright fall colors. It was not clear whether the colors are less intense or whether I was too early to see the colors. Regardless, this was my favorite scene. It is a small pond on an infrequently traveled back road.
