Woggy

A rainy monday morning - the large copper jam pan is up in the attic catching drips, along with an assortment of saucepans and old baby baths. It is hard to leave your bed while it's still dark, and harder still for Gabby to leave the comfort of Woggy.
A week ago, Woggy languished on the shelves of the Secours Catholique thrift shop in Castelnaudary. He is now the latest object of love and the muse of Gabby's games. These games require him to talk in a falsetto voice, so wherever he is playing in the house, he can be heard. it is a happy sound. I will miss it on this school day, in a house silent, bar the drops of water hitting the copper and the sound of the wind in the roof.
