Death and Beauty

A hunter kindly let me photograph his wood duck. These are difficult to shoot, he said, but he had managed three yesterday morning. He kept one and gave the other two away. I've never seen a wood duck before - a bit sad that my first sighting should be destined for the dinner table! But that's the way it goes.

This was a travel day for us. We are now safely back in Boston. I will add my Wisconsin blips over the next few days.
