The Prelude II

Come October (starting season for a series of festivals here till winter and spring and beyond....), one will witness a slew of festivals every now and then.

For a starter, this is the starting day of Panthoibi Haraoba (Panthoibi - Goddess of Arms). The participants are performing 'Thabal Chongba', a traditional dance where boys and girls (males and females) join hands together in a long chain and dance to the beat of drums and music. They will advance forward as they dance and will go on forever in a circle which might become a concentric circle as the number of participants increased or simply the no. of circles may be increased to two or more.
