Duck Detail

This is Pops, semi-comatose in the grass after stuffing himself with duck food. I've never seen this before. After a lunchtime feed the pair waddled off about six feet and stood stock still for about ten minutes, facing in opposite directions. They looked just as if they had just overdone it at Christmas lunch.

I love how you can see the feathers that need preening out just behind the grass, and that, always surprising, shock of electric blue.
