REALLY OLD

The town of Mirepoix has a bastide with these ancient -- 12th C -- couverts made from wood. The original structures still exist.

I was looking up at the 12th C wooden gargoyles to show them to my friend, and a pigeon landed right on the gargoyles head! His red eye seemed to look right at me. I seem to have a thing about pigeons...
