Explanation for "A strange visitor"

On the 11th, i blipped a "seed", and today found out to my surprise what it really is.
Top left to right:1. The very tall tree across the street. 2. The leaves.
3. The trunk close-up.
Bottom left to right: 1. The seeds. 2. The "squashed" seed, exposing thousands of tiny fluffy seeds. 3. What is left when all the seeds are removed.
...and still i do not know the name of the tree!!
