Mr Calum Robertson
Mr. Robertson presents very much as an English gentleman having been brought up and lived in England all his life. However, he is in fact of Orcadian stock and his sister still visits North Ronalds(h)ay every year with her party. Calum owns a small gents' outfitters in Camden Passage, Islington, London specialising in waistcoats which he imports from West Africa; he himself sows the buttons on and, indeed, he was doing so when I found him sitting on a stool outside the Camden Head public house with his thimble on and a pint of ale on the flagstones. He was charm personified and just as I took this shot, he said 'There's a lady behind you laughing!' I replied, 'Don't worry, that's my wife!'.
