Sixty!

The party went well. It was a busy old day though before we got there; gazebos erected outside the village hall; balloons inflated; the Saltire raised, the glasses wiped, and drinks placed on ice. Not to mention the puddings decorated, the salads prepared, the cake displayed, the cutlery wrapped and the table confetti scattered.

Sixty something people arrived to raise a glass or two, songs were sung and a good time was had by all. Sensible Susan here - or call me Des, did the dutiful daughter thing by fetching and carrying throughout the evening; (a touch of deja vu, but fortunately no 'incidents' to report). Dad and I finally got in at 3am after dropping a couple of intoxicated guests home and boy was I pleased to see my bed!

Happy Birthday, Dad. Many happy returns!
