Bakehouse Close

One of the delights of the Royal Mile is that it has many small alleys, or closes, leading off it. This is Bakehouse Close. The archway dates from around 1570 and it leads to Holyrood Road. When you have a spare moment it can be fun seeing where each one takes you.

On this occasion, however, it was only taking me back towards work.
