Alba

We have given up all this activity and opted to spend the day in the car! We drove this incredibly unspoilt countryside to Barolo, Barboresco and Alba. The vineyards are neat and slowly loosing there leaves, the villages are full of enotecas and everyone is excited about the 'white truffle' season. The day was dull and overcast which meant our photography suffered. The Italians love their banners - they are everywhere.

My photo challenge for today was 'opposites' and I did get lots of images of windows open amongst the shuttered ones, doors likewise, a grandmother with her grandson, etc., etc. but I liked this one best.
