Female House Sparrow
For a short period today the birds in the garden seemed extremely relaxed. I was trying to get some decent images of a small flock of House Sparrows in the hedge. I was attempting to get as close as possible and to this end I got behind the Fir tree by the feeders which turned out to be a pretty good spot. From there I got the Female Sparrow image above.

I also got this Male House Sparrow from the same spot.
While I was standing next to the feeders a Goldfinch landed to tuck in, it didn't seem too upset by my presence but ironically it was too close to get in focus without changing to macro. I decided to concentrate on the Sparrows but as I looked back this friendly Robin hopped along the fence towards me so I switched my attention to that.
Quite an interesting 15 minutes :)
