A sunny Saturday afternoon in October

And it's 3.48pm, and this is the first proper spring day we've had since spring 'began' on 1 September. Since that date, we've had earthquakes, snow (down south), storms...all manner of winter weather all over the country.

But today, finally...some sun. It must be around 19 degrees. So Meaxwell and I are starting off with some fresh lemonade, tonic and vodka..with a hint of mint. The windows are open (and clean) and I'm observing the apartment garden/common area. It's getting greener. We're off out tonight to catch up with friends we haven't seen since the beginning of the year. We're trying a new Indian restaurant tonight in Parnell - hopefully it will be nice. I've even been shorts shopping (online of course). Only a few more weeks and it will be officially summer!
