Crimson Speckled Moth

We seem to have a lot of these in the village here in Southern Andalucia right now, the car was covered with them yesterday and this morning they are all over the streets. I have never seen this before; I hope it is not a portent of some kind!
The Crimson Speckle is a rare migrant for the north of Europe (recorded in the UK only 100 times in the last century) and only very rarely finds its way to the Channel Islands, they over winter as lave here in the south and in the tropics they breed continuously
