Weir
Today was an odds and sods sort of day.
Regular visitors might remember a reference to a frightening motorway incident, which left lots of drivers nursing punctured tyres.
It turned out, we were victims, too - of the slow deflation variety - and we had to get two new tyres this morning.
Then it was off to town to buy a brake cable to fix the garage door (don't ask!).
And we did the weekly shop this afternoon after avoiding the morning mayhem there. It ended up being a pleasant social occasion - bumping into a couple of people we hadn't seen for ages and having a good old chinwag. There's something about a visit to Waitrose - it just wouldn't be the same at Tesco!
Anyway, we had glorious weather this morning and on my walk into town I stopped off at a favourite spot - the site of Arundel Mill, alongside the Thames and Severn Canal, just to the east of Stroud.
This is a weir next to an idyllic millpond. It's a great place to reflect and relax.
