I went into town early this morning and the light was superb - but I didn't have a camera. Doh! Anyway, I tried a few shots with my phone and the camera geek within me was pretty impressed with how it managed the exposure on this one. What you see here is straight out of the 'camera' with no PP.

This market in York is very old indeed - as old as the city which has been around for the best part of 2000 years. The historical romantic in me wants it to sell good natural produce, but in fact it makes a living for the stallholders with cheap tat. I suspect that may have always been the case.
