Durga Puja

After I came back from the mountains, this is my first blip post. Before I back blip about my experience on the mountains, thought of posting this blip about the Durga Puja celebrations today.

Visited a puja pandal for the first time. Everything was so splendid and mesmerizing this evening!
The artwork and colors of the idols ..
The magical music of the ritual drummers ..
The rituals performed in sync with the rhythmic music ..
and the food ..

These pictures are the sequences from the Maha Aarti done on the 9th day of the puja.

Though the celebrations might not be as grand as it happens in Kolkatta, I sure got a feel of it today! I would love to visit Kolkatta during the Pujo season sometime.
