You've come a long way baby

Here's a special bird. It's a Lesser Whitethroat, a species which breeds fairly commonly in the UK. But it's no ordinary Lesser Whitethroat. From its wing measurement, we can say that this is probably of the race halimodendri, which breeds in central Asia! It's also a slightly different colour to UK breeders.
