Fresh air is free

It is an absolute age since I climbed up onto the Bleasdale fells. We had a late morning start but we had by 10 o'clock taken the in laws for their flu jabs and spent £199 on a new oak tv cabinet. By the time we started the clouds had rolled in and there was the odd spit of rain in the air but ever the optimists we carried on. By early afternoon the sun came out and it was glorious just right for topping up the vitamin D levels. Part of the walk goes over a section of peat hag moor Mrs Wild's least favourite terrain and even she didn't moan. We did a spot of land art on the top of Fairsnape Fell. Met only a few others out on the hills one who commented that the fresh air was free at least. Too right petrol to get to start point, car park fee and a visit to the farm shop on the way back I am £20 lighter than I start out with. If you want to check out more info about where I have been today follow this link to an magazine article I wrote about the area a few years ago.here
