Destination Yungaburra....

A very early start this morning, we are off to the Queensland Tablelands for four days.

Travelled through tropical rain, very heavy at times, some flooding too. Vast changes in landscape, through sugar cane areas, banana, papaya, cattle farming. Such stunning country side, once we left the coast and headed inland - green lush farmlands, reminding me of the English countryside (well what we saw of it some years ago) rolling downs, trees randomly left when the rainforest where cleared....I was very taken with it, added to that the rainforests that we travelled through - all just so beautiful.

This is the Yungaburra Pub, rather large & yes, we did head there for a lunch washed down with a schooner of beer on our arrival!!

A great day, in the evening watched our netball chicks take a great (but so very close) win over the old foe, Aussie at the Commonwealth Games, brilliant!!
