As blibs unfold

Drooping

Sunflowers have been surprisingly resilient to colder weathers and there are no signs of frostbite on them. Unless you take the somewhat drooping pose into account.

Last weekend we dug up all the dahlia roots and after they've dried a bit in the garage we bagged and boxed them today to wait for the spring. Some of them are several years old by now, we've been doing the same for maybe four years now. They don't survive the cold winter on these latitudes but keep well in storage. I was thinking of blipping the procedure but it wasn't photogenic at all so I'm just telling you, off camera so to speak. It explains partly why I am posting a garden picture today.
