Back to my roots.
I decided on the spur of the moment as I was passing Cheynes that what I needed to cheer myself up was a radical hair colour change (I'm a girl, it's what we do) so I picked a pinky/reddy/purple and went for it :O)
Years ago I had very bright purple hair (this do isn't quite as dramatic, but I am a tad older now) which I loved, but was in a horrdendous condition because I'd done it myself by leaving bleach on my previously black hair for 2 hours (it went orange) and then applying a rather lovely purple and magenta mixture from the local goth shop. The colour was great (apart from the orange bits) but the hair was pretty broken up and only rcovered when it grew out. Which was most attractive, as you can imagine....
Now I am older and (don't say anything mum) wiser and I went to the hairdresser. It will probably take a few more goes to get the brightness I really want all the way from roots to tips (apparently they don't bleach it for two hours first, its a slightly more gradual process) but I love it.
Somewhat cheered up. Job done.
