Hunger is on the way

The maize is running out: It's the hungry time of the year.
I'm too sad to comment.

Harisen's mail tells the story:

John,
Today's pictures are taken in a village close to Lusangazi.
The children in the first picture, coming from school and found no food to eat at home and decided to go into the bush to eat wild fruits.

The girl cleaning pots is Mary Chikuni. She is 9yrs and is in class 2
She has had her breakfast but has had no lunch and there is little food at home and she is planning to go out to eat wild fruits as well.
These wild fruits will be finished soon!
