80 today!

Roger's Mum's 80th birthday. Roger's other sister Pam and her husband Mike came up this morning, and we all had a light buffet lunch at Janet's house, followed by cake! In the afternoon, all of us younger generation went out for a walk at a nearby nature preserve, leaving Bernard and Edna to have a quiet afternoon, before we all went out for dinner in the evening. We ate out in the village of Tarporley in the evening - about a 45 minute drive. We drove all the way in steady rain, then as we were coming down the last hill into the village, we noticed everywhere was dry - they hadn't had any rain at all! The menu was very varied and the food was excellent, so it was a wonderful celebration meal.
