Climbing

Ben's obsession with climbing continues. Steve helped him up this climbing wall only by showing him where to put his feet and which handhold to go for next. And of course standing behind him in case he fell. Ben did all the hard work!

I got a lovely compliment from the owner of the pub as we checked out, for my skills in organising the weekend! Everything went smoothly, everything got paid for, nobody had any complaints (at least, as far as I was aware of!) and the pub (The Swan in Fittleworth, in case you would like to know!) would be happy to have us all back again.

We headed up the road to a play park that we'd been told about, as it was gloriously sunny we thought we'd make the most of it before heading back to our house for cake and tea.

highlights:
Nathaniel doing his "cool dude" impression
Aruna looking gorgeous on the swings
Uncle Matt being a fantastic uncle

Our mums suddenly regressed back to childhood - they decided that anything their grandchildren could do, they could do too!

On the swings
The Swinging Sixties. Literally :)

We headed back to our house after that. Steve's family (who had arrived for tea at our house on Friday) decided to head back home to Manchester, and my family came back with us to our house.

Where we cut the cake! And, to be honest, by the time we cut the cake I was so frazzled from one thing or another that all I wanted was to EAT the thing - I was not feeling very precious about it by that point!
Ben And His Cake

We decided not to open presents after all. It would have just been mayhem. Carnage. Drama. So they are hidden in our wardrobe until some other day - yet to be decided!

Uncle Matt and Aunty Sue went back to London with my parents, and we eventually got Ben, Nathaniel and Aruna to bed.....

Yesterday back-blipped - going for a walk, and a celebration dinner!
And The Cake, in case you missed that one as well!
