Aaaaah October

The month of starting University or College.

Cold air and Sun.

Getting to wear a Scarf.

Gathering nuts (just in case...).

Overcompensating in the winter wardrobe department and having to take most of it off in the pub.

Feeling like the Grim Reaper as you destroy the husks of Summer frippery in the garden.

Wondering if the sea really is warmer now....

Turning up the heating too early and having both legs out of the (summer) duvet.

And for some people, like my dearest work chum and my pal's Uncle, having ALL their Christmas presents bought and wrapped.

WTF!!!!???

As a kid, I'm sure there was Halloween and then Guy Fawkes then AGES before Christmas. I work my adulthood on the self same principle.

That said, I do tend to panic the week before Xmas.

Hmmm. There must be a lesson here.....
