RIP Partner

My last blip was taken at Unawatuna, a lovely beach resort within reachable distance by bus for a weekend getaway from Colombo.

That same day I went for a walk on the beach and got engulfed unexpectedly by a large wave. It poured water into my bag, drenching everything, including my dear camera.

Trusty partner. I feel like I have lost a limb!

Yesterday I went to the port authorities to clear my cargo from Qatar. It was damaged. I called the company who sent it and they said I needed to take photos. Hmm. What to do?

Then I remembered the generous gift from my Qatari employers to thank me for 5 years of service. A BlackBerry. Aha, a camera!
