Joined Mr Echo and Polly on their morning walk. There seemed to be more activity than usual. As we got to the far side of the Lake noticed a double line of tapes with people hurrying towards them. Then the shouts of encouragement began. We had arrived just as the first competitors arrived at the finishing line. It turned out to be the Merseyside Cross Country Championships . By the size of the girls I would think this must have been the jumior girls race. The winner was the little girl in yellow top and blue shorts standing at the far side of the tape.
