Casa Batllo

Our third day in Barcelona and we decided to venture into one of Gaudi's buildings. This is the centre of the inside of Casa Batllo.

Gaudi's intention was to bring light into the building via the roof and into this area. The tiles at the top are dark blue and gradually change to a lighter blue towards the bottom as they reflect more light.

The interior and exterior of this building was amazing. So much detail and very organic as Gaudi hated right angles and believed that architecture should be an extension of nature.
