Bradford is grotesque

This little fellow is one of a pair of small sculptures that adorn a doorway of Bradford town hall.

I pass him & his stone colleague every morning on the way to work.

In architecture, a gargoyle is a carved stone grotesque with a spout designed to convey water from a roof so this fellow is actually known as a grotesque rather than a gargoyle although I think he's rather cute!

Though he was quite appropriate for Halloween!
