Underpass
I've driven over and under the "new" M3 and railway bridges over the Lagan in the centre of Belfast countless times, but this evening was the first time I taken a walk below them. They're very imposing and they are some of those structures that worry you a little as to how the puny looking pillars will hold them up for much longer.
On closer inspection than from my car, I noticed the wing mirror designs showing copies of old black & white photographs of people who, I assume, used to live in the area before their houses were knocked down to make way for the bridges. It's a nice touch.
I pondered long and hard as to whether to leave this shot in colour or change it to black & white. Definitely seems more "urban" this way, but I'm still not certain.
