Chess Club

Went to the Chess Club tonight, again. This was a crucial position. I had fought hard after a very good positional move by my opponent to secure equality again, and I had achieved it. Then, he made a poor move and gave me winning chances, before, in this position, I played a howler and lost a winning position! The correct move is 1 Bd1! followed by picking up the a5 pawn; the knight can win one or even two of my pawns on the kingside, but there's no way to stop the a-pawn. 1 Bg8?? was silly and losing, leaving both my previously very active pieces a long way from where the action is - on the kingside, in my half of the board.

Bummer!
