Columbus Avenue, New York

We're back in New York City, on the upper West Side; this is around the corner from our apartment on West 97th Street, which we are about to start renovating (for earlier blips see here).

The blip shows part of a huge new Whole Foods store (food of all kinds, including take-away and and a cafeteria area--supposedly with free WIFI but that wasn't working today). There has been a great deal of construction in the area; it's winding down but still not over, as you can see from the orange dividers reflected in the store windows; they're on the other side of Columbus Avenue.

We signed the contract for the renovation of our apartment today--it's likely to last into December. We'll be coming to the city to check on it, and I will keep you all posted.
