The Royal Naval College Chapel

The Chapel of St Peter and St Paul is a complete and unaltered neo-classical period piece in the Greek Revival style , and remains almost exactly as it did after it's re-opening, when a fire gutted the original, in 1789. The painting above the Altar, is by the American artist, Benjamin West. West was paid 1200 pounds for the 25ft canvas and is the only painting by this artist still in it?s original setting.
