Autumn rose
Thank you, folks, I've quickly got over my silly hesitation about posting too many flower images. After all, the garden in autumn is as lovely and interesting as the one in spring. If anything, the contrast between decay and growth in nature makes the autumn garden more haunting. Everything is falling back to earth so quickly that there's a sense of urgency to capture things while I can.
A good reminder that the moment is all I have. Mr Eliot says it better.
This is a rose in J's garden called Petit Bouquet. We are the happy caretakers of my favourite garden in the world for the next 10 days as our friends have gone on holiday, leaving us in charge. Expect more autumn garden blips in the days ahead.
This morning I discovered a sublime new voice named Rumer. Here she is singing "Aretha." It was love at first listen.
