The Frond

I'm a great lover of public works of art and this is a stunning piece on Lee Quarry in Rossendale. It's called the Frond and is styled on an emerging bracken or fern leaf. I was here today to celebrate the launch of a project called the Valley of Stone which celebrates Rossendales quarrying heritage. Stone from Lee Quarry paved Trafalgar Square in London. Lee Quarry also has a top class mountain bike cross country circuit for adrenalin junkies. On a fine day like this East Lancs is not a bad place to be.
