Still Life

I'm confined to the house today with a really bad cold and all the lovely things that come with that! So, while Bb was out blipping our local vertical garden this morning, I was tucked up in bed with Lemsip. Am downstairs for something to eat now though and took the chance to find a blip when Bb went out to buy dinner. The vase is from a very good Scottish friend who gave us this as a gift on one of her visits to us in Barcelona. The painting behind is by another 'newer' friend and very talented American artist, Steve Zeigfinger, who we met in Budapest and we now have quite a few of his pieces here. We love his use of colours and it was lovely to hang them on the walls here for the first time at the start of this year after having them in our flat in Budapest. It was like the joining together of both these worlds! We'd had nothing on our walls here for a long time (things propped up around the place!) and it suddenly all changed over two days of banging and hanging! Well, I can smell the chicken cooking in the oven now, so better get this posted!
PS: should have made it clearer that the vase was held in front of the painting for this blip!
