Took Ollie for a very cold walk in the late afternoon. Absolutely bitter! The clouds were all glowing pink and the sky was rapidly filling up with heavy storm showers behind me. We were heading home as fast as we could through the stubble field when I spotted the moon already up.

Went into the brand new, all singing and all dancing Tesco's after work. As well as food they now stock clothes, books, mobile phones, cookware and everything electrical! It's like being south, as about half a dozen folk pointed out to me as I wandered, rabbit-like round the store! I used the vouchers they had kindly sent me and mentally compared prices with my usual supermarket . . . Swings and roundabouts, t'was ever thus! Do I want cheaper butter or more choice of cereal? Decisions, decisions!
