after having a full house on and off for the last month or so, it again back to just the two of us. it is fun to have folks around.

a funny thing happened in the evening today. as we were returning, we were pulled over by the cops. I thought one of those random checks of license and documents. But the moment we stopped, the cop pulled out a sticker and stuck it on the hood of the bike and said "we're collecting money for the families of policemen who died serving on duty". Before I could understand what all's going on, I had already handed out a tenner. The cop quietly slipped it into his pocket. No receipt of contribution. Everything happened in a flash and it was too late before I could realize that these were regular cops and not traffic policemen. Funny!
