Catch of the Day
I spent just over an hour today walking along the Tarka Trail (once a railway line) against the Taw Estuary of Barnstaple. The weather was cold & the rain persistent, but it didn't dampen my enjoyment of the surrounding area, it's wildlife & it's mad fishermen! Rather you then me mate - I said to his general direction!
I had a bit of trouble deciding which to blip! But the fisherman won over these two:
Taw Estuary
Curlew
Birds sighted were curlews, redshanks, oystercatchers, canada geese, mute swans, starlings, black headed gulls & cormorants. There were probably a lot more out on the flats, but they were far out!
