Of the making of books there is no end....
~ and the letting go of them can last for years!
Today we tackled the garage. It'd been a long time.
First we shifted all sorts of tools and roofing materials and folding chairs and pieces of wood and little boxes outside. Then we repositioned a bench and drawers and started hauling out the bigger boxes of books that had overflowed the limited shelf space in the house and had been in the garage for years. Then we put them on every available horizontal space and spent the rest of the daytime sorting....
Our Mission: finding the books we're least likely to read again and passing them on to others.
Our Problem: most of them were good enough that we'd still like to read them again sometime!
Our Solution: stack them up in manageable chunks and do the best we could. We did, at least, make a decent start (and I can't put my car back in the garage until we've finished, so there's additional incentive to get it all done before the snows return to Montana!)
My Blip For Today, therefore, is rather bland. It shows a few of the many, many stacks ~ enough so you get the general idea, but I was thinking about the job and not the light and missed the golden glow of the setting sun on the books sinking slowly into The West....
