When I was a little girl, we were told all about pecking orders and "survival of the fittest". Now we have learned that the bird in front is not the big Kahuna but rather the one doing the hardest work, and we have learned that they take turns being in front so each can get a bit of rest and ride the stream in the back a bit.
I am glad we are learning a bit more about nature and learning that, in nature, it is a lot more about cooperation than modern humans once knew. I hope we all learn to emulate that and become even more cooperative with one another. Especially our leaders, as individuals usually get along a lot better than portrayed. Kinda like the animals.
