Vacant spot by the side of my bed

In the blink of an eye,
I didn't want to say goodbye,
Tears roll down my cheeks,
Like life without love, and night without sleep.

Our dear old dog Ben was put to sleep today aged 15 or 18. he was the naughtiest,stubbornest dog; the great houdini; many memories good and bad; but always of the family walk with the four of us and all our four dogs today
