Trail bike rider, Te Kopahau

I'm building a portfolio of images of Wellington's south coast, west of Owhiro Bay.

This afternoon I was photographing the rock strata and wild flowers at the old quarry above the beach. I turned the camera / tripod to face the water, and took two photos of this trail biker.

In this shot I especially like the blurred bike and rider (shutter speed of 1/20 with a 2-stop ND filter on the lens) and the faint blue plume of the exhaust.
