Urban music is the new pop apparently
The weekend is here, excellent. Had a lovely evening with Dawn and my niece Laura. We went for a nice meal at Zizzis in Cresswell Lane. The food wasn't amazing but the place has a good vibe and we had a good old natter. A nice walk home to walk off our meal and then we collapsed on the sofa for some movie watching. The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, as expected, was not the best. Jake Gyllenhaal's acting was rather awful, which was surprising even though it was a kids film; who knows why he adopted a cockney accent when playing a persian prince.
The film was followed by the Mobo awards which underlined how much I am out of touch with the kids; some truly awful music. Urban music is the new pop apparently.
I still can't make my mind up about the blue halo at the top of Oran Mor [the steeple of which you can see in the photo]. Part of me thinks it is crass however I do like looking at it, especially on a gloomy night.
All in all it was a good day.
